Wide Snow Guards have a much larger surface area for holding snow. This allows them to function more like a barrier than a small individual cleat.
Because each guard presents a wider face to the snowpack, a properly designed layout may require fewer rows than a layout using smaller cleat-style guards. The final quantity and arrangement must still be selected for the specific roof.

No. This snow guard is manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate with a protective UV inhibitor that prevents yellowing, discoloration and degradation caused by damaging sunlight. It is not the same untreated clear material commonly associated with early yellowing.
Do all metal roofs need snow guards?
No. The need depends on roof slope, panel smoothness, snow exposure, building entrances, walkways, lower roofs and property located beneath the eaves. Each roof should be assessed individually.
Why use a wide snow guard?
