Understand What Protects Your Metal Roof
The warranty package available for a project depends on the selected roofing system, manufacturer, finish and installation agreement. The written warranty documents supplied for your project always determine the final coverage.

Qualifying metal roofing systems may include manufacturer-backed, non-prorated and transferable warranty protection, subject to the selected product’s written terms.
- Coverage tied to the qualifying roofing product
- Transfer options may be available when ownership changes
- Registration and transfer requirements vary by manufacturer
Paint Warranty Protection
Qualifying premium finishes may provide protection against covered peeling, cracking, splitting and excessive colour fade within the limits of the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Finish coverage depends on the selected colour and coating
- Fade and colour-change limits are defined in writing
- Normal weathering and exclusions remain product-specific
ROOFNOW™ Workmanship Guarantee
Eligible ROOFNOW™ installations may include workmanship protection for covered installation-related issues, subject to the signed project agreement and guarantee terms.
- Applies to qualifying work completed by ROOFNOW™
- Separate from the roofing-product warranty
- Service begins with an inspection of the reported concern

What Ontario Homeowners Should Know
These general answers help explain how roofing warranties work. Your product documents and signed agreement control the coverage for your actual project.
Do all ROOFNOW™ metal roofing systems include the same warranties?
No. Warranty length, coverage, transferability, registration and exclusions depend on the selected manufacturer, product, finish and project agreement.
Is the 50-year warranty transferable to a future homeowner?
Qualifying manufacturer warranties may be transferable. The available transfer process, deadlines, fees and documentation are determined by the applicable written warranty.
What does a 30-year paint warranty mean?
It refers to qualifying finish protection under the manufacturer’s written terms. Covered peeling, cracking, splitting and excessive fade are evaluated using the definitions and limits stated in that document.
Is workmanship coverage different from the product warranty?
Yes. The manufacturer generally controls eligible product and finish claims. ROOFNOW™ workmanship protection applies to qualifying installation work under the signed agreement and guarantee terms.
Does a roofing warranty replace home insurance?
No. Warranty protection and property insurance serve different purposes. Storm damage, falling objects and other external events may need to be directed to an insurance provider.
What should I do before buying a metal roof?
Ask for the actual warranty documents for the product and finish being quoted. Review who provides each layer, what registration is required, whether coverage transfers and which exclusions apply.
