Removing old roofing creates more debris and more movement around the home than an approved installation that does not require removal.
The plan should define removal areas, waste handling, deck inspection and temporary weather protection. Old roofing and debris should move toward controlled collection points—not across gardens, decks and household entrances. The roof should be opened in a sequence that can be safely protected from changing weather.

Visual Checks and Magnetic Sweeps Work Together
Where ferrous nails or fasteners may be present, magnetic sweeping can be part of the cleanup—but it does not replace careful visual inspection.
Driveways, walkways, lawn edges, gardens and material-staging areas should be checked. Multiple passes may be appropriate after removal work. Non-magnetic items, hidden debris and small pieces still require visual collection, which is why the final inspection covers the entire work perimeter.

Do you clean the job site every day?+
Housekeeping is maintained as work progresses. Loose packaging, metal cut-offs, fasteners and debris are collected, materials are secured and the immediate work area is checked before the crew leaves.
How do you check for nails and fasteners?+
The cleanup can combine visual checks with magnetic sweeping where ferrous fasteners may be present. Magnetic tools do not collect every material, so the work perimeter still requires careful visual inspection.
What happens to the old roofing materials?+

Do I need to move anything before installation?+
