Roof pitch may require adjustment.Flat aerial dimensions and true sloped roof surface area are not always the same.

Exactly what will I receive?

You receive the estimated roof square footage, the roof pitch used, the waste factor applied and the resulting estimated total square footage. No other report or diagram is included.

Will I receive an exact material order?

No. The calculation is preliminary and educational. Final measurements, waste allowances and product-specific quantities must be verified before ordering.

Why can roof area be larger than house area?

Roof pitch, overhangs, attached structures and additions can increase the roofing surface compared with the home’s floor area.

Can I use this when comparing estimates?
